Quite an original grape variety for a rosé de saignée. The nose is pleasant and flattering, with its aromas of red berries, the playfulness of a child at a funfair, between cotton candy and toffee apples. The palate balances acidity, delicate tannins and fruity roundness, underlined by pretty bitters. Why not pair it with Sunday roast chicken or Italian dishes such as eggplant alla parmigiana?

This cooperative was created in 1947 at the instigation of Henri Blin, in association with 28 winegrowers. Today, the cooperative groups together more than a hundred winegrowers covering 110 ha. Most of the vines are located in the Marne valley, and around 70% are dedicated to Pinot Meunier. Recently, part of the production has been certified organic. Sébastien Barbier, the cellar master, oversees sales of some 500,000 bottles a year.
