For a festive, alcohol-free New Year's Day 2024, alcohol-free sparklers are perfect for toasting in style. Elegant and tasty, they'll make your evenings sparkle without compromise!

In the wake of the Dry January craze, the range of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, from ersatz wines to spirits, has multiplied. The argument is that you can drink without the harmful effects.

Festillant Pêche VigneFestillant, Pêche de Vigne

Maison Gratien & Meyer, known for its crémants de Loire and Saumur wines, also produces the "Festillant" range of dealcoholized sparkling wines, made from classic tank fermentation followed by triple vacuum distillation at low temperature. This process preserves the aromas. This is the case here with juicy, sweet peach, which asserts itself from the very first aromas. Under elegant, creamy bubbles, the mouth is greedy, with a slight sweetness on the finish. Perfect to replace Bellini for breakfast. Price: €4.95 (75 cl)

French Bloom Vintage 2022French Bloom, La Cuvée Vintage 2022

Launched in 2021, this young house, created by Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger and his American wife Maggie, has succeeded in a crazy gamble: to offer an alcohol-free alternative to champagne. And the result is more than a success. With some of the grapes aged in oak barrels, the bouquet is ripe, with aromas of yellow fruit and elderflower. After a frank attack, the palate is soft and delicate, carried by lovely creamy bubbles that add texture. Notes of fresh wood and vanilla emerge before a delicately spicy finish. Price: €109 (75 cl)

Osan TmOsan, Vegetable Bubbles TM

In 1997, in Liernu, Belgium, Korean chef Sang Hoon Degeimbre opened his highly acclaimed restaurant L'Air du Temps (19/20 and 5 toques at G&M Belgium). For over ten years, he has been serving his creations, made from organic ingredients. The effervescent "TM" version (for tagetes and mirabelle plums) takes us into a wonderful garden, where floral fragrances and intense fruity aromas make up a bewitching bouquet. On the palate, the herbal notes are particularly refreshing, underlined by creamy bubbles. A soothing experience. Price: €16.50 (75 cl)

Tempera Eterna ITempera, Eterna

Led by chef Mauro Colagreco, a group of wine and food enthusiasts decided to create non-alcoholic drinks worthy of the finest cellars. The result? A range of original blends to enjoy on their own or with food. For example, the "Fresh & Herbal" effervescent takes you on an early-morning stroll along the Amalfi coast, with its lemony, salty aromas, fresh orange blossom and delicate acidity. Green tea adds a pleasant herbaceous note. Price: €28 (75 cl)

The king of the Loire grape varieties, also widespread in South Africa, "ch'nin", as the people of the Loire pronounce it, has the extraordinary ability to produce dry white wines as well as semi-dry, sweet, syrupy and even sparkling wines, commonly known as fines bulles.
