Gourmet Restaurant On the banks of the Saône, just north of Lyon, this handsome 19th-century hotel continues its tradition of hospitality with the same apparent pleasure as Brice Gibault, Sébastien Lericolais, Alexandra Cortot and Maxime Gallard. A fine traditional house, the dining room respects a certain classical, bourgeois spirit, with its pretty yellow walls and red velvet curtains, its period wooden furniture and its slightly popular atmosphere. The seasonal menu revisits the classics in a good vein, such as cod tartare and yellow tomatoes, black mullet à la plancha, veal jus with rosemary and fennel, veal chop à la plancha and veal jus reduced with chanterelles, mashed potatoes with smoked olive oil, or a vine peach and roasted cherry tomato mille-feuille. A fine cellar with nearly 150 references.
