Gault&Millau's review
2025 91/100
To the untrained eye, you might not notice that you're smelling a rosé champagne, with fruity, lively aromas more reminiscent of a Gamay, with hints of spice and strawberry compote. On the palate, on the other hand, we find the characteristics of a fine rosé, with notes of orange peel for freshness, fine, creamy bubbles for roundness and stone fruit for pulpiness. The fresh, taut finish, very salivating with its chalky, persistent notes, calls for a chocolate cake or a black forest.

The Vollereaux family owns 40 ha of vines spread over 13 communes on the southern slopes of Épernay. The estate is based in Pierry, a magnificent village classified as a premier cru. The brand's first bottles date back to 1923. Today, the sixth generation is at the helm: Franck in charge of vinification, Hélène in charge of reception and wine tourism, and Jean-Marie in charge of the vines. With such a varied supply, the house has a veritable orchestra of terroirs on which Chardonnay (the majority), Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier can express their distinctive characteristics. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats. As far as tourism is concerned, the house offers wine-tasting workshops and picnics in the vineyards.
