Beautiful gold color and scattered fine bubbles for this 2004 from a blend of the three Champagne grape varieties. The complex nose evolves nicely, with hints of undergrowth, candied citrus, oranges and dried-fruit brioche. With aeration, the notes become more evanescent, and we even discover a few aromas of wilted flowers. On the palate, the wine offers fruit, presence and a very discreet bubble. White fruit and a certain freshness are still present. This is a fine, long, evolved champagne for the table, to be opened with a mature Comté cheese or caramelized veal sweetbreads with chanterelle mushrooms. A masterful introduction.

Le domaine se fixe un objectif clair : mettre en avant le patrimoine de Marzilly et du massif de Saint-Thierry. Le Domaine de Marzilly s’approvisionne aujourd’hui sur près de 4 hectares de vignes. Le vignoble est situé sur un coin sableux de Champagne, où le pinot meunier domine. Le domaine est certifié HVE3 et VDC. Les fermentations s’effectuent en fûts de chêne, dont certains proviennent également du parc du château. Le Clos de Marzilly, clos historique de la région, est la parcelle la plus emblématique du domaine, entièrement constituée de meunier et certifiée Ecocert.
